This is Kendra. She is a beautiful , sweet young woman. Her husband’s name is Kevin. They have two beautiful babies.
Kendra is a native of our community. She has attended churches in our area before. Indeed, she made a personal commitment to Christ several years ago. But she finally found the church home that she was looking for when she married Kevin, a faithful member of Crossroads. Kendra immediately became an active participant in our church. She attended worship every week and became an active member of a LIFE Group.
After some time, Kendra attended our Discovering Crossroads Membership class and made a commitment to our church. She told me that she wanted to follow through and follow Christ in baptism … and that she wanted to be baptized outside, like we “used to do.” You might say that Kendra’s desire for an outdoor summer baptism is what gave me the idea of coming back to the lake last Sunday.
It was my pleasure to join Kendra in those waters and help her follow Christ in obedience. And it was a joy to see the smile on her husband’s face, as well as the love and support on the faces of all of her LIFE Group friends.

Nuh uh. That girl’s knees are out of the water. She has not been immersed.
Don’t let the baptism police find out.

Seriously, though. Thanks for the stories of conversion.
*Tongue back in cheek*
It’s a good thing the churches in your area won’t associate with you. You’d put them to shame by blowing their numbers away during an ACP comparison.

Art,
Actually I had everyone seated in the water … I only had to get them wet from the chest up.
