Darryl,

Many thanks ... and welcome to my blog. I know a few Bridges in Christian County / Hoptown, but none in Trigg County.

Too bad you had to leave paradise and move to SC ... so much sand and heat. ;)

I'm not going after crappie again until fall. It's bass and night fishing time right now!

Please drop in and comment often.

Geoff,

Great stories! I grew up outside of Paducah, and spent alot of time at LBL. I probably have a relative or two in your congregation -- my dad is part of the Bridges family from Cadiz.

Keep on keepin' on, and catch a few crappie for me this summer. I transplanted to South Carolina 10 years ago, and miss those days at the lakes!

Geoff: I have so enjoyed reading these stories, not only is a testimony to what your church is doing(and it looks like the lake baptisms are just as legitimate as the baptistry baptisms), but it was like being there even though I wasn't physically there. Thanks.

Mike,

I am pleased that these real stories about real people have been a blessing to you.

I pray that all of God's people will have hearts renewed with a passion for reaching and baptizing the lost!

BTW ... have you visited "Along the Shore" before? How did you find your way here?

Thank you for your edifying series on personal stories about baptism. Praise God my heart is not so cold as to not be excited about real people identifying with Christ and his salvation!

It was a pleasure. This is the last of our seven "stories" from last Sunday's baptism.

There haven't been a lot of comments, but from my traffic I can tell that there have been a lot of readers.

And Roger ... thanks for not leaving me "hanging" in the comment-free zone on Taylor's post. ;)

Yesterday at Woodland Creek we baptized two adult women, Cindy and Sara, and a 14-year old boy, "T". We baptized them outside in our horse trough baptistry and had a picnic to celebrate. It was a blessed day and their testimonies were beautiful. Nothing gets me fired up for the kingdom like a baptism.

Thanks for the great pictures!
